GIS-PORT is a tool designed to help Colombian sea ports to fulfill periodical reporting required by the National Authority of Environmental Licenses (ANLA). ANLA obliges sea ports under its jurisdiction to guarantee that the georeferenced information they manage match with the data model defined by its regulations.
GIS-PORT is a system that allows ports the management and edition of the geographical information they manage and validation in accordance with ANLA criteria, generating a validation report that is a valuable input for the preparation of the Environmental Compliance Reports required.
GIS-PORT is the first outcome of the alliance between GeoSLab and PlayasCorp, a Colombian company specialized in beach and coast management and that is in charge of product conceptualization and commercialization of GIS-PORT in Colombia.
