Geolocation and Optimization of farming processes in open environments (RTC-2016-4790-2)
Project financed by the Program of the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness “Challenges in Cooperation” for 2016.
- Improvement of automatization rates and optimization of farming processes linked to product traceability and planning and execution of activities on field.
- Development of a software platform to build Location Based Services (LBS) in geographic areas without 3G coverage.
- Development of optimized hardware, mainly low energy consumption sensors, to obtain necessary information to provide Location Based Services in a farming context without 3G coverage. These sensors can be installed in farming equipment without power source (tools, trailers, etc.) and dispose of high level autonomy.

Project selected for SME Instrument - Phase 1 and financed by Horizon 2020 - Research and Innovation Framework Programme (SMEInst-1-07-2016). Beneficiaries: Zeta Amaltea y GeoSLab.
Advanced ICT Risk Assessment Tool to Increase Climate Resilience, Water-Use Efficiency and Environmental Sustainability of Agricultural Production.
It´s the first tool to fully take into account agricultural farmer’s needs to provide effective water and risk management; considering key internal and external data input. It integrates water management and nitrate pollution EU legislation, watershed data and underground aquifers.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement Nº 744140
Our project “Pesticide Finder: Your advisor on pesticide management” was selected on the first call of FINODEX (Future Internet Open Data Expansion), one of the 16 FIWARE accelerators co-financed by the European Union that selects, funds and provides support services to projects from SMEs & Web Entrepreneurs building upon the FIWARE technology and reusing Open Data. We are one of the top 10 companies that have passed to phase 4 (196 applications were submitted; 49 projects passed to phase 2 and 30 to phase 3).
Pestifinder is a tool to help agriculture companies, farmers and advisors to choose the most suitable pesticide for their crops in compliance with current law. It integrates all available public information about authorized pesticides in Member States of the UE and enriches it with geographic information, providing access to users through an easy-to-use Web interface.
Project financed by European Commission 7th Framework Program, whose objective is the publication of spatial data associated to energetic resources (hydrocarbons and minerals) and their production and processing industries, with the aim of improving resource and energetic needs management.
Project financed by European Comission 7th Framework Program, whose objective is to prove initiative GEOSS (Global Earth Observation System of Systems) viability and the scientific value of an interoperable network of observation systems. GeoSpatiumLab has provided technical support to integrate Ebro basin hydrological information into the European Drought Observatory.
CANTOGETHER is financed by the European Comission 7th Framework Program. During the 4 years of project life, socioeconomic and environmental factors that affect agriculture and farming have been analyzed with the objective of designing new techniques to minimize costs and environmental effects.
Project financed by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness of Spain in the frame of INNPACTO Program. Its objective is to develop methodologies and tools to evaluate efficiency of water use in industry and possibilities of improving it. This evaluation is based on proven methodologies such as “water footprint”, “life cycle analysis” and “Water pinch”, among others.
Subproject included within the PlanetData initiative (7th Framework Programme of the European Commission) whose objective is to demonstrate the enormous potential of linking together different sources of geographic information under the paradigm of Linked Data.
R&D project financed by Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, through the Centre for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI), focused on the definition of the architecture, protocols and standards of Geographic Internet, especially in all aspects related to 3D visualization, virtual worlds and user interaction.
