INTERNAL AI CODING WORKSHOP

At Geoslab, we are committed to the continuous training of our team. Last week, we organised an internal workshop focused on the use of artificial intelligence in development processes, with the aim of sharing experiences, knowledge and best practices on the most innovative tools and models currently available.

The session, led by our colleagues Íñigo Galaz and Juan López de Larrínzar, allowed us to explore different approaches to AI applied to coding and analyse their suitability for solving different types of complex problems. It was a very enriching day in which we discussed how to improve the efficiency and quality of our developments with the support of these technologies.

Beyond the vibe coding trend

At Geoslab, we see artificial intelligence as a professional tool for software development, never as a substitute for expert knowledge. Beyond the vibe coding trend, our experience shows us that software quality depends, more than ever, on the combination of technology and human talent.

For us, AI does not replace analysis, design, architecture or technical review, but rather enhances these capabilities when used by skilled developers. Its true value emerges when it is integrated into mature workflows, with professionals capable of validating, correcting and optimising each proposal generated by the models, ensuring efficiency without compromising the robustness or maintainability of the code.

It’s not all about coding

Although the workshop focused mainly on the use of AI to assist in software development, we also spent part of the session exploring other applications that can improve our daily lives beyond coding. We discussed tools that help manage meetings more efficiently, summarise information, organise email, automate repetitive tasks, and write news articles like this one more efficiently. We shared real experiences from the team and saw how these solutions can ultimately improve the quality and efficiency of our processes.
