BEMAPS: RUNNER-UP AT THE HERALDO DE ARAGÓN AWARDS

Yesterday it took place the ceremony for the Tercer Milenio Awards, the innovation and science supplement of Heraldo de Aragón, and our BeMaps platform was recognised with a runner-up prize in the Innovation category.

BeMaps allows users to create and share flawless maps with ease and is the result of a collaboration between GEOSLAB and the University of Zaragoza’s Group for Spatial Planning Studies (GEOT), leading figure in the field of geographic information at both national and international levels.

BeMaps is much more than a technological tool; it is rooted in a cartographic tradition that views maps as a form of communication with its own language.

This award recognises how this scientific and academic legacy has been combined with technological innovation to make map-making more accessible, open and relevant to society as a whole.
