TRUFFLE CULTIVATION AND NEW TECHNOLOGIES

On 17 June at 12 noon, the online seminar “Truffle Cultivation and New Technologies” will take place, focusing on innovation in truffle cultivation.

During the session, the work carried out as part of the TECNOTRUF project will be presented. The project’s main objective is to develop new technological procedures based on the monitoring of ecological variables to optimise the productivity of truffle plantations and improve the marketing of their derivative products.

TECNOTRUF processes and analyses data from sensors installed on the plots, together with images captured by multispectral cameras mounted on drones. This provides accurate information on the condition of the plantations, facilitating decision-making regarding agronomic management.

The project has a budget of €599,131, co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD, 80%) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA, 20%).
